Both Feet In!!!

SAFETY CAGES:

Let face it, if you're a racer or a driving enthusiast, at one point or another you're going to get, a little sideways, maybe a lot sideways! And if you do, we'll be there to back you up.

So when your safety matters, remember, Both Feet In!

We build custom safety cages to meet and many times exceed sanctioning body rules. Now you’re asking yourself, why would I exceed the rules? Well, there are two reasons.

First, think of the rules as a minimum standard. When it comes to safety we’d rather overbuild than toe the line at merely acceptable. This is your life we’re talking about, so let minimize the risk as much as possible. Second, if your racing and building a cage you can take advantage of the benefits that come from triangulating points on the chassis.

Not to worry, we’ll help you every step of the way in outfitting your vehicle with a cage that is safe and right for you. Give us a call.

IT'S ALL IN THE BEAD:

What so important about a weld bead? Everything!

It’s not just about looking pretty. A proper weld bead penetrates the metal the correct amount. It means the metal hasn’t sustained heat related stress. The metal structure surrounding the weld remains molecularly intact.

So what’s wrong with a sloppy weld? It means poor penetration at the junction and that means reduced service life in the part, stress cracks, and possible catastrophic failure. So next time you’re looking to have something fabricated, ask yourself what’s in a bead? Oh yeah, done right, they look damn cool!

Chassis Builds

SEAMS LOGICAL:

Seam welding is something specific to our rally customers. Rally racing places very specific demands on the chassis and seam welding is an important part of building a full on rally chassis. Let’s face it, if you’re into Rally racing at some point you’re going to hit something. A seam welded chassis means that any structural damage you incur is easier to fix and the chances of saving your season and or total investment go up significantly. This also increases the stiffening of the car and insures the chassis doesn’t tear itself apart from the constant stresses and stains placed upon it. This combine with a properly installed roll cage insures the longevity of the unibody construction under the rigors of off road racing.
